holiday aftermath/new character

I'm so happy to be on the other side of this 'ghastly season of mirth'. There are no words to describe my relief. I've had alot of time off, and some work pals had prodded me to set up a facebook page with all my free time. I didn't. I just don't understand the appeal of facebook or myspace or any of that bullshit. What I did do over the holidays was mope around and watch tons of movies on cable...and draw. As I was mindlessly doodling, a little character spontaneously developed. He's a little foreign dude named Aznuccio who speaks in very broken english. His speaking style is based on messageboard postings I've read from people whose first language was obviously NOT english...and things Lumpy has said...and maybe a little of Borat too. Aznuccio may not have much appeal, but he kept me occupied during all this holiday nonsense.

I love him. Reminds me of Yoda, he does. Glad you made it through, and glad you made a post. Facebook is kinda fun. Myspace didn't impress me much, but Mom and I (and several other bloggers) really have a good time on facebook.

I'm sure I have at least one relative in Italy who looks exactly like A. You are not a facebook or myspace guy, and I mean that as a compliment.

Looks like you're surviving without facebook or myspace. Me too. Hope the New Year treats you well.

Welcome back!
Hmmm I think I've met a few "Anuccios" in my life. *shudder*
As for facebook & myspace, I refuse to join them too. People put way, WAY too much personal info on the Internet. People who need to know me that in that much depth already do! The rest don't need that info.

I like him - looking foward to more of him.

My "season of mirth" ended quickly when I 'F' bombed at christmas dinner over a heated discussion about our very dysfunctional extended family, nice huh.

My slip of the tongue was met with gasps, hands over mouths and mutterings of "and on christmas day yet"..... you get the picture. I went straight for the cooking wine. LOL. Needless to say I am happy it is over too.

Facebook is very time consuming and I am not sure I understand it all either.

I like him. Very funny. =]

I have a facebook, and I hate it. I just never get around to deleting it. Go figure.

OK, third try.
Love the new character--think he can go and grow!
Snuck one in on me--I try to keep up! And I haven't sent a single card yet, either!
I'm on MySpace--and it annoys the hell out of me. So I'm seldom actually on it. No more--just not interested.
The Ghastly Season is almost over--at least for another 8 or 9 months!
Happy New Year!

Aznuccio looks like a kewl dude! Can't wait to see some of his adventures.
I'm on Myspace when I remember to go there, but not Facebook.
I'm drinking to the end of the "season" as I type! :)

I love him. Actually, I've read some posts from people who would probably claim that English was their FIRST language. But you sure can't tell it. I've got a page on Facebook but I haven't done anything with it. The appeal does kind of elude me.

Aznuccio has more appeal than some of the mean I see daily. LOL. Send him my way!

I have a Facebook page and I use it, but I don't get it either. Maybe because it's for younger users?

Happy New Year Russ!
