Can we please put a stop to these horrible outdoor "decorations" idiots put up during the holiday season? They look bad...and when there are six or seven in the same front yard, it's downright creepy! I'm pretty sure the kid-eating witch from "Hansel and Gretel" would put these things on her lawn. I'm not opposed to all holiday decorations -- I appreciate tasteful displays of lights on roofs and trees. That's nice. And I won't even comment on the plastic, illuminated nativity scenes. I've got a "War on Christmas" entry coming up that will deal with that. More later.

Russ, I so agree with you !!!!!!, Hugs Lisa XOXOXOXO
I miss the old time holiday decorations. At least they were tasteful. Some of these people are unaware there is such a thing as overkill. (Hugs)Indigo
Yep, I agree. Hate the inflatables, don't care for the plastic.
yeah, i agree. i walked into a grocery store the other day and was accosted by the inflated snowglobe with the rotating merry-go-round; it wasn't a pretty scene, and the store manager was not happy with me. grins, debra
Less is more, eh?! My across the street neighbor has 3, yes three inflatables in his front yard. Such a wonderful display to look at out of my living room window.:( I might go out and punch holes in them tonight. I doubt the charges would stick, I'm doing the community a favor! *snicker*
ROFLMAO...there is a house out on the highway that has about 10 of these tacky things in the yard. It is downright hideous!
I love to see lights, tasteful lights - I think that is pretty but not these blow up creatures!
I'm with you. I HATE those things!

I have a small Frosty on my porch. I hate the houses that have 5 or 6 of these in the yard. But, I love Pooh and Eeyore...so I kinda like the one you have on here : )
Oh gosh...I hate those things. There are a few houses in my neighborhood that have so much crap on their lawns, it looks like Christmas Commercialism threw up in their front lawn. Julie :)
The ones in our neighborhood are always flat in the mornings. Do they come with an air pump? John and I are real scroogie. We don't have any decorations and we won't have any still up in July. lol
Yeah, and think of all the energy those things waste--probably heat and light some third-world country with one of those. And the wires that hold them in place are almost invisible--until you fall over one with a box of pizza (and have Tigger and Pooh practically--mounting--you). Not good.
two words.

OMG!! Finally someone who agrees with me!! they give me the freaking willies!!
They are hidious! I cna't beleive how much $$ goes into buying those things.
I have simple white lights (some have pines) on my deck & in my Bay windows. That's it. Yep, less is more.
And the inflatables look so sad when they're turned off during the day. Just laying there all flat and messy.
we have only simple lights on our house..very tasteful
how ar eyou doing haven't talked with you in a while

I HATE those things. The one that pisses me off the most is Santa on a motorcycle. WTF???
I still have my skull mirror from Halloween, and a Santa with his head replaced by Gianni Versace's. Needless to say, I do not go in for traditional Christmas decorations.
