Yes, I realize I'm delusional.

Now THAT is exactly how I feel about editorials on blogs..EXACTLY.

~said in my best cocktail-party voice~

Chicklet was here yesterday & we shopped at Hallmark. She showed me a card & asked me if I thought you wrote it. The saleslady stocking shelves practically jumped her: There is no one named Russ here. These cards are not written on location.

LOL.

I'm laughing at Mary's trip to Hallmark because I just stepped into a Hallmark store this morning (after not seeing the inside of one for a long time) and immediately thought, "What a load of junk. Not at all what Toon comes up with." I'm glad that Chicklet found a good one. Even if you were not in that particular store's back room making cards. Hahahaa. -Cin

And this makes three that looks at the Hallmark cards and wonders which one is a card that you may have worked on...

... but I am not going to dis HallMARK. I watch their network (Cheers, Frasier, and Golden Girl reruns!) and I enjoy giving their cards...

No, I rarely bother with online polls... BUT I would not mind working for Gallup!! They are located here in Omaha and they give folks cash for the number of polls they can fill in or some stuff like that... I overheard a conversation about it and thought, "Who would care what these luckless farts thought?'...

... keep that in mind the next time you read about 'independent polling'..!

yesterday, i made it to my voting precinct ten minutes before the polls closed. the woman behind the desk glared at me and asked for my info~~here in Mississippi, at the primaries, you must tell them democrat or republican because you are only allowed to vote on one ticket for the primaries to determine which candidate it to be the primary candidate for that political party. also i am not a terribly familiar face in this "new" precinct as i've only been here two years {ya know, getting married and moving to his place}. so the rest of the folks in this area with my surname {my husband and his extended family of origin} vote republican and they are known in this area. so the woman behind the desk asked me several times to make sure that i was aware of the fact that i was asking for the DEMOCRATS ticket. there's all kinds of flaws with this, but it is much better than not being able to vote at all. sigh.
