I wonder how many of those kids still remember you from the influence you had in their lives? Bet it is more than a couple... if they had to volunteer for this class that means it and the instructor meant something to them.
I'm so impressed! What a great counselor to put you there, and what a great opportunity to influence young artists. And lol about those kids being adults. I feel your pain. My daughter is turning 30 in 2 weeks and I'm pretty sure that can't be right.
I'm sorry you ruined your first pair of Nikes, but I'm impressed. Yes realizing you're getting older hurts but it could be worse. One of my all twelve years classmates died this week and it's hard to take because you just think they will aways be around.
What a great opportunity for you and for the kids. You should feel very proud to have made an impression on their your lives. I'm sure they still remember that experience and you.
brave! anytime i've ever worked with groups of kids, they trample alllll over me. i think they know how easily intimidated i am. but this is about you. A.) what a cool teacher to get that opportunity for you. B.) sorry about your first pair of nikes.

Whenever I see one of your posts with the "autobiographical" title, I get so excited!

I'll bet some of those kids still remember you. Love these entries. (Are you tired of me saying that yet?)
I have often thought you would make a kick-ass art teacher.~Mary

dude, you do NOT give yourself enough credit for the awesome person you were, you are, and you will be.
I wonder what those kids are doing now? Did any of them go into art? Who knows what kind of influence you had on them?
