I'm with you. One of the most annoying things on the road around here in the winter!
That is why when we bought a house, a garage was mandatory.
It is so dangerous... this is a childhood memory of a cousin who would throw rocks at cars like the one in your toon...
Oh no, I have not seen one of those, but we do have piles of snow, large ones outside in the shade. They would melt, but it got cold again.

People from the hill country sometime drive down to san antonio with snow on their car to brag about having snow.
