Now you know, to me that guy just sort of looks like a Berkeley rebel of the 70s. Uhm, but without the hemp shirt & sandals. Or the peace thing. I digress. I'll bet he left his victims in all sorts of Cirque de Soleil positions.

I think it is prudent to keep the doors locked in the middle of wheat fields. Who'd know a serial killer was hiding out(or, uhm, killing you) there?

Wasn't he captured not too long ago? I will have to check the link, but he was a 'normal', regular-looking guy. Because of 'Silence of the Lambs', everyone thinks that these guys are super geniuses. He and Jeff Dahmer or any of the infamous serial killers were brilliant as they were lucky.

He was quiet for a long time and then he became active... I am going to click the link and read about him.

I hate BTK!! I know when I lived out in a wooded area for a few years I was much more afraid than I was in the middle of Miami. I know it's probably backwards thinking in reality but it's just more scary!

That was a long and scary time in KS. Glad it is now in the past.

almost 50 but not quite said...

i think every town has some serial killer that haunts its children. though, it's kinda hard to compete with the btk guy. what a piece of crap. i've been very lax at my blog reading. the good news is, i'll have a lot to look at tonight while i put off doing my homework.

Our small town never had anyone like BTK but every once in a while there would be news of a peeping tom. Seems no one ever saw him just tracks. lol

Yikes, I was raised in Kansas and I remember this guy - scary dude. I also remember the Clutter murders in Holcomb(In Cold Blood) which was a scary freaking murder spree as well. Yeesh!

I grew up scared to death at night because of the Clutter Murders. I too grew up in the middle of a wheat field an hour west of Wichita. It gets really dark at night...and quiet. :-) I stupidly read "In Cold Blood" again about a year ago. Guess I just couldn't resist being terrified for a few nights.

dude, i lived with very limited electricity thru my teen years {I'm talking three outlets for a fourteen room house} so I got over my frights of the unknown things that lurk in the dark pretty damn quick. in fact, set me loose to roam the wheat/hay/corn fields and pine woods, i'm fine. stick me on a crowded bus or elevator and i freak.

andent, as in andent dat happened, andent

That just goes to show that the scariest demons are our fellow humans. What a ****ed up species. If I was an alien, I'd wipe the planet clean except for the pears.
