As always, I loved this look back at "little Russ" - I think the pet blob idea is adorable. I also checked out the link and can see why you liked those books.

Ha I love this! I think you would like my poem/song 'A Vampire Falls In Love', got laughs at the last reading, but hey I also share your feelings for monsters...there is one in every creature on earth...dogs and humans included :)

A pet Blob...that is so creative and cool!
I still cannot believe that Clifford the Bog Red Dog isn't classified as a horrifying monster. -Cin

I don't think the thoughts and ideas of a kid are ever stupid.

Go see 'Let Me In' and let me know if you still think being cool with a vampire is ginchy!!

You were prolly a lot cooler than you think you were as a child... for real!

What an imagination. I only had corny 'pretend world' things like being a multisport athelete and parlaying that into a political career... what a dweeb!

the ideal way to tote about a pet blob, that or a fishbowl.

Books were my salvation growing up.

I assure you, not any more stupid than a pet rock.

I think you risk a lot of emotional candor with these; it is very brave. ~Mary

I remember watching the show That's Incredible in the 70s. They had a segment about a company of paranormal researchers who could give you your own ghost. I wanted one. I mean I really, really wanted one but my parent's told me that was a stupid idea.

To this day, I can still sing the "Beware of the Blob" song.

I think the little bits you reveal in these autobiographical bits resonate with everyone.
