"content warning"

As much as I miss the very comfortable and familiar format of AOL blogs, I have to say I like that Blogger gives us the option of putting a warning at the front gate of our journals. I also like that you can just upload an image from your computer without going through photobucket or the very unreliable & touchy imageshack. Both of these changes will allow me to share some of my more risque sketches that I never dared post on AOL.

I'll never forget the time I had a cartoon removed because some busybody took offense to me using the word "goddamn". I've had a contentious relationship with certain conservative, religious bloggers who keep showing up to cause problems even though they've always had the option of just not reading me.

This is not one of those potentially offensive images. It's a page of doodles I made while sitting through a mandatory class at work. As I've explained previously -- I am able to concentrate and sit still much better if my pen is always moving on a piece of paper. Otherwise I'd be fidgeting and sighing and generally acting like a toddler at the opera.

It seems many of an evangelical bent cannot be content to merely live their own life as an example--they feel it incumbent upon them to force everyone to live life as an example; their own example. I really don't understand it.
That said, anyone who can escape any of AOL--I give them kudos!

Well, if they read the warning and STILL procede then it's their faults for not having a life. Sheesh. I'm very, very happy you are here! ((((Hugz and Love)))) Teresa

When I was new to journaling I was ask to remove the word bullshit. How can you live on a ranch and not have bullshit? I like your hair and teeth, well I mean on your cartoons.

I've never quite understood the the "stop me before I read something that will offend me crowd." To borrow the phrase from a certain first lady. Just say "no" and leave the rest of us in peace.

Keep on drawing.

I'll never understand why some people don't get the simple concept of "if you don't like it, don't read it." Seems like a no-brainer to me!

I tried stop following then added myself again. Maybe it will work now. Sometimes when you change the addy or make a major change with a blog. You have to do that or it won't register for you. We'll see.
I'm delighted your more comfortable now dear friend. I was worried you were going to NOT write, because of this format. As for the religious zealots...plenty of fodder elsewhere. (Hugs)Indigo

Well seems like you have been at this longer than I thought... not to mention an explination as to why I don't see you in my dashboard.

I will simply keep looking and finding your blog the way that I have been and not complain about it!

my 'captcha' word is 'cyherbel'. I figure you could work that into something!
