I wonder if your puppy misses the evil squirrels..? The two most miserable summers of my life were spent in Manhattan/Junction City, stationed with the Big Red One.

Try to stay cooler than you already are!

My brain feels as if it were fried and refried during the heat wave.

Weird, I just realized there haven't been a lot of squirrels around here either. Strange. Autumn can't come soon enough. (Hugs)Indigo

I am about to use one of your pear relatives in a Korean BBQ, so does that count if I help keep you from melting? I will be heating the atmosphere up with my grill :( I may go into the pool before standing outside so long...

I am betting squirrels have central air digs they tell us NOTHING about. It's not all funnel cakes & Ferris wheels being a bush in this heat.
That sounded weird. Anyway, I've been sort of loving it(running).

Squirrels on fire = precooked so I don't have to heat up the stove. Yay. -Cin

Where the heck are those pesky squirrels?

Toon, Summer is my time but this is getting ridiculous (even the dogs run back inside really quick, which is NOT like them)!
Upon reflection, I think the squirrels want to come inside too!

I read this and felt bad for complaining about the weather up here. Whoa! Maybe the squirrels are just hunkering down to conserve energy??

Our electric didn't go off, but our electric company DID turn off our A/C during the worse day last week. It was 99 in the house (107 outside). We're on BG&E's Peak Rewards Program where they alternate between customers on weekdays (when everyone is, in theory, at work). But last Friday they not only shut us off but everyone in the program... why? Because it was a heat emergency. 3 people died that day.

The large man ate the squirrels.

Maybe you should put up a missing poster of a squirrel. "Have you seen me?"
