There's an obvious joke here and I'm very proud of myself for resisting.

my dog sookie was a puli. we clipped him ourselves with kitchen shears. he looked perpetually mangy because of that.

First of all, your only vegan reader(I'm pretty sure I'm the only one) has a word verification of baconfu. So basically, your blog is telling me to f*** off if I just won't admit bacon is tasty(it is, oh, it is)...anyway...dealing with that little dog had to be easier than cattle. What a mean vet. ~Mary

Glad Your little doggie didn't live down here in south Texas and add grass burrs to her matt.

That sounds like she was a fun pal to have, even if she was a poodle!! Actually, poodles are smart, working dogs and I am sure on a farm that she had plenty of stuff to do!!

Oooh, more stuff about dogs, please! They're one of the constants of my life and I've loved each and every one dearly but our one long-hair DOES get into the burrs on a regular basis
(Aaarrrggghhh)!
(How well did Muffin cope with being clipped? 'Cause ours HATES it!)

Bless Muffin's little heart. I love your drawings of her, what a sweet face.

I'm just curious about what the heck Muffin did to get the vet people to say "Don't bring her back". I mean these people stick their arms up cows junk to see if they are pregnant and don't have a problem with that but they didn't want this dog coming back? Was she Cujo? ha ha
