I love it when you do these!

Makes us think of our own experiences! The only letter I did well was the 'E', guess it overflowed into my professional life LOL Z's were hard for me...

My handwriting started out terrible and has gotten progressively worse with the years. I always blamed it on the fact that the teacher made me use my right hand; I was a natural lefty. I think it's gotten worse because I use a keyboard so much these days, I seldom have to write anything.

LOL That last line was adorable! (also the reference to "that goddamn cursive L")
You know, you should write greeting cards. ;)

I hope God makes Mrs. S write 1 million L's on the chalk board before she can get into heaven. I agree with Vickie, you should do greeting cards...Hallmarks right up the street.

Never have been a fan of cursive, I am a printer through and through.

Another wonderful autobiographical entry. The chalkboard. The ball!! Look at the misery kids are put through in the name of "education." Pisses me off.

I had beautiful handwriting as a kid. Now you can barely read my grocery lists so all that "penmanship" crap turned out to be a waste of time. -Cin

I remember in sixth grade, my history teacher asked me to help him decipher my own writing on a short answer that was on the test. I couldn't read my own writing, but I was able to tell him what I thought the answer was. He took points off cuz I couldn't read my own writing. After that, I made a point to memorize the answers that I wrote for essays. I got so good at it, that if the same question was asked on a mid~term or final that had been asked previously on a quiz or test, I could actually write the same answer, in the same way {same tails curling, underlined in the same way, same forward slant for stress, etc}. It disturbed one prof in my undergrad program, to the point she was sure I was cheating somehow...wow, what a tangent!

I love it when you do these things too-I had similar experiences with math--where did teachers ever get the idea embarrassing people made them learn?
Strong memory: the teacher standing right in front of me (I was in the front row, of COURSE)and saying loudly, "Come on now-is it just that it's so easy it's TOO easy?" Uh, no.

I used to call you multiple Russ(in a very good way). I think you still experiment with new identities...

What a shame that teacher tried to force you to fit a certain mold. We all develop our own way of writing...mine is a combination of printing and cursive. It's part of what makes us unique. I'm glad you found your own way of writing!
