We are supposed to trespass. It is built into the primordial primate psyche- but yeah, that sign would give me pause too. xoxoxo
I do value my head sitting on my shoulders. Even so, I tend to be unconventional and bend the rules whenever possible. Makes life more interesting. (Hugs)Indigo
Yep there are a lot of things more dangerous then a long horn bull.
I used to ride Blue across the back of a nearby person's pasture; it was unfenced, and there was nothing there but a small woods and some weeds. One day I started to ride across as usual and saw this sign: To the person on the brown horse, if you don't stay off my property, you will be walking home.
They could have just said "keep out". That would have worked.
My gut (or something else) would have clenched at that. Yikes!
I was once about 19 and on a camping trip with my family. I was off on a picture taking expedition. I came to a really cool looking house I wanted to take pictures of. It was just really old and cool with the beach behind it. I started up the drive (very long) and came to a sign that said, "Trespassers with be shot. Survivors will be prosecuted."
I settled for taking a picture of the sign and turned back. Still have the picture somewhere.
Seems like I remember the world being open to exploration when I was a kid. Now, not at all. I hate that my own kid's experiences are limited to parks and state forest trails.

That sign sounds like something my Uncle Frank would have put in his field just to be funny...not funny.

That would be enough to change my behavior as well.
Oh, I read the last line pretty clearly... would have ended my trespassing adventours too...
