criminey, i so agree that not everything life needs to be a teachable moment. . . sometimes the most important lesson to learn is to enjoy the moment for what it is.

I just never did like the looks of a fanny pack. I knew a lady who taped her money to the bottom of her foot under her panty hose. I guess that would keep her from spending it.

kid: can we...?
parent: NO

or

(at walmart}
kid: i gotta go pee
parent: well, hold it
