But see, I do things like this so I can distance myself enough from other people- and not have to share the elevator with them.

I can understand but not identify... if I was reading the book, I would wave you on...

...were she approaching the elevator and I was holding it, I would wait... the few seconds she is eating up are proolly seconds that I don't need anyway...

... I am that way with parking spaces (used to get 'close' but never 'closest') and of course if I hadn't learned it prior to enlistment, I would learn how to 'hurry up and wait'...

... that helps with dealing with perception... I don't care why the person is draggin' as much as I want to say something to myself about who I am...

... but of course, that is me...
