Every situation has its compensations. Sometimes I'd be happy not to see so much.
I'm not so sure they'd like that.
in stillwater, tn, there is an underground lake {in a cavern} with albino blind koi. every time i see them, i think, "oh how cruel" as the koi are definitely not indigenous to TN and they've become blind albinos due to the lack of light and darkness, and yet, we the people seem to think, "well, hey, ain't thet cool"
Someone call a lawyer!
@Debra - It's Sweetwater, TN and called The Lost Sea. I pass that place when I go to our Chattanooga office but have never stopped. It seems an odd tourist trap.

But I agree with F & M because that is the life those creatures were intended for... the existence for them is the one they were meant to fulfill...
I think one of the problems for a lot of living things, at least enough to matter and be a problem to me, is that they are not allowed at times to live out their destiny... the albino fish in the koi pond... they may be blind but I bet they know that they are not in the ocean... and they are prolly sad about that... even if their life were to have ended griped in the tentacle of sea behemoth or in the jaws of another monsterous fish, better that than the enternity swimming in some damn koi pond in Nashville-freakin' Tennesses...
