burn victim

The other night I was pan-frying a ribeye and got spattered with super hot olive oil.
When I get a burn of any kind I tend to feel sorry for myself for at least two days.

i don't do well with pan frying things, cuz of the splatter burns. even those screen things that you place on top the pan, to decrease the splatter, is ineffective. i feel for ya, dude, feel for ya.

You should see the burns I have on my arms and hands...I left a smiley face on the inner elbow area...would make a great toon, and depending on what side, it could be a frown!

That reminds me of a quote by Anthony Bourdain in his recent Techniques episode: "Basically, the excruciating pain you feel when you sink a knife into your thumb….a lot of that pain comes from the knowledge that really, you’re an idiot."

:)

Hope your arm is feeling better.
