Being on 'staycation' for two weeks has given me a chance to really get to know this little animal and here's what I've learned: His every waking moment is spent causing some sort of trouble. I go back to work on Monday and I'm not exactly sad about it.

This is something a friend of mine told me way back in 1986.

I found gaping void by chance a few months ago and immmediately subscribed to this guy's point of view. He's a cartoonist/graphic designer working in advertising who made a name for himself drawing on the backs of business cards. He has great ideas about creativity and business, and just generally seems like a very smart guy.

I loved the quote about being lucky because I often forget how fortunate I am sometimes. Look at what you do and what you are -- you are the luckiest person alive!

nature sucks (and stings)

On top of everything else, I was also recently attacked by a swarm of bees. I'd pissed them off by shaking out a dustmop against a wooden post where I guess they had a hive or something.

So nobody told me that technology changes in the course of ten years. I'm too damn old to figure out a whole bunch of new stuff, but I have some vacation days to play with it.

I'm sorta back. I've got a new computer and a new scanner that I'm still learning how to use. It's been nothing but monumental hassle after monumental hassle getting everything set up and running.

Just give me some time.
