doodle diary 7/2

According to Dr Burns, the analysis of doodling should be part of the clinical procedures of every psychologist or psychiatrist. He notes: "The messages are there, after all. No one's surprised that an electroencephalogram can chart brain waves using a stylus attached by way of electrodes to the brain. The only difference with doodling is that we use a pen attached to the brain by nerves and muscles."

i love the reasoning on that! i think that one reason that the md's love the eeg is cuz it's fairly straightforward and very clinical~~limited interpretation. i think that doodling presents them with a problem, there isn't a limited, quantifiable way for them to interpret. and they love quantity and not quality.

It is pretty easy to do an interp on an EEG, but not so with your doodling. Think Drs & billing-- they want it quick, but pricey.
But I think the doodling may be a better indicator of certain things...EEGs don't register emotional intelligence levels, but I believe your pictures do.

Love the idea of my brain "doodling" on an EEG. -Cin

Oh my gosh this makes me think that every time I went to the sessions a year or so ago, he was doodling and not writing down things about me, or maybe he drew me and my head was exploding, LOL!
