dandelions
I don't. I really don't have a problem with dandelions because it's hard to hate something that has such a need to live and thrive no matter what you do to it. I just wish there was a way to genetically graft some of their tenacity into food that's grown to be eaten. I mean, wouldn't it be great if fruit trees and wheat stalks could regenerate with almost supernatural speed after being wiped out? Somebody much smarter than me needs to start working on that.

Amen! They make me crazy (piss me off) when I mow 2 acres worth and the mower blade just knocks them over instead of decapitating them. Darned things act like they're made of rubber.
Ahhh, someone has never had dandelion greens! I remember my Mom making them when I was in high school. I believe she fixed them like wilted lettuce, with bacon (and a little bacon grease) and vinegar, and a little sugar to cut the bitterness. You have to get the leaves when they're small, otherwise they're too bitter.
I love them. Strange I know, but they're such a bright yellow plant. Not to mention it's as if nature's canvas dots the landscape every spring. Whenever I see dandelions I smile and imagine yellow paint splatters across the yard. Eh...I'm not normal. (Hugs)Indigo
i love them too. we have quite a crop in our yard this year.

I love your imagination. A dandelion with teeth.
Weed and Feed every March, ususally keeps the population to a dull roar.
I think I read somewhere that they are actually not weeds but a wild flower...hmmmm

Ha! I love it- Dandelions for President too, now that is another campaign I would volunteer to head!
I love dandelions, reminds me of my childhood, blowing caution to the wind...
i love me some dandies. lions and people and such, oh! my!! grins, debra {bonars=glasses that work using sound waves...i saw it on the radio!}
They do use them in food, dandelion salads and such but I can't get my mind around that. Nope, no way. Not eating weeds. (Smoked some though in my younger days!)
I remember my sister and I doing this twisted game with dandelions growing up. You'd hold on in your hand between your thumb and index finger with the thumb nail right under the flower part. You'd say "Molly had a baby but the head popped off!" and flick your thumb, decapitating the flower with flare Marie Antoinette would envy.
I love dandelions. Love seeing them in the yard and I do eat them! Steamed with red wine vinegar or a bit of tekka. A long time ago, I had some dandelion wine that was okay, too. --Cin
I don't mind them either and just let them grow. I have never had the greens but I've heard they are good!
