First person to correctly guess which movie this is from wins a puppy that
may or may not be strangled by the time you receive it.

day 400 of this heat wave

The Old Farmer's Almanac predicted that Summer here in the heartland would be cooler than average. If there's one thing I hate, it's a lying old farmer.

overheard in kc

I'm not really sure what the backstory is. It seems like a pretty crummy thing to ask a little kid.

doodle art?

My buddy T actually framed one of my 'doodle diary' pages and hung it on her wall.
Stranger things have happened, but I can't think of any right now.

These are girls most everybody knew or knew of in junior high and high school.

Doodling calms and organizes me. It’s simple, repetitious, familiar, predictable.

Okay -- I see that as "god's hummingbird". Right? Am I missing something else obvious here? Maybe the person who chose this screen name had something completely different in mind. And also maybe they are a little bit nuts.

autobiographical

There's just something about being a kid during the Summer. Things seems magical -- or at least special somehow. These are some little scenes that stand out in my mind for whatever reason. Click on the image to see it enlarged.

it's true

After spending over 10k on dental work in the past year(I'm still not done), I've become very religious about brushing and flossing. Do it! Do it for your teeth, your gums and your wallet.

doodle diary 7/2

According to Dr Burns, the analysis of doodling should be part of the clinical procedures of every psychologist or psychiatrist. He notes: "The messages are there, after all. No one's surprised that an electroencephalogram can chart brain waves using a stylus attached by way of electrodes to the brain. The only difference with doodling is that we use a pen attached to the brain by nerves and muscles."
